At Harvest, we’re helping people get their lives back on track

We’re helping people get their lives back on track because God is all about helping people get their lives back on track. One of the ways we express our love for Him is through our love for people, and we do that by helping each person who comes to Harvest grow in their relationship with the Lord.

It begins with our vision to see people Worship Him, be Discipled to live like Him and Prosper because of Him. Everything we do revolves around those three things. And it all starts with our worship services. We meet in Douglasville, and you’re welcome to join us.

Church is so much more than a service on the weekend. It’s about connecting with other people, growing in your faith, and building a strong foundation for your family. Because of that, we’re a church of small groups, or as we call them, Connect Groups. We believe that you will be able to find a group and connect on a deeper level that will bring about God’s desire of fellowship and developing your faith.

Quite often, believers express the opinion that commitment to a local body isn’t required for a strong relationship with God. They argue that fellowships are far from perfect: churches have conflict with other churches, people in the same congregation don’t always get along, and some Christians are hypocritical. We understand all of these complaints. But as followers of Christ, we shouldn’t base our actions on merely an assessment of the facts; we must follow the counsel of Scripture.

“Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another”
Hebrews 10:24-25
It’s true that some people can’t attend church due to physical limitations, and others have no Bible-believing congregations in their area. But aside from those exceptions, everyone who wants to maintain a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ needs to be involved in a local body of believers.

Our Mouths, God’s Hand

Acts 5:29-30 “But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.  (30) The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.”

God’s heart is revealed to us in that; He has a plan for the world. His plan includes the preaching of the Gospel, the healing and restoration of man. It is God‘s desire to accomplish His plan with the participation of man. God’s will has to have man’s participation to come to pass as God planned. As the Apostles opened their mouths, God filled it with His words and as they extended their hands for healing, God’s hand was extended for healing.

There is no change in the heart of God. God’s desire is still the same, there is no other name under heaven where men may be saved other than Jesus… So begin to preach His Gospel and bring His healing, to His people by the hand of God through your hands!

Take a few moments and pray to God, thank Him for His revelation to you through His word. Ask Him to help you to be bold in preaching (witnessing) Jesus and faithful to believe that as you extend your hand, you are doing it in the name of Jesus to bring healing.
